Electric car chargers

Buy an electric car charger or Type 2 cable to charge your vehicle safely at home, at work or from a compatible public charging point. INNPO offers charging equipment for the European Type 2 standard, with clear technical information to help you check power, phases and compatibility before ordering.

Our current range includes the Victron EV Charging Station up to 22 kW and a 5-metre Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable rated at 22 kW. Compare the specifications on each product page before choosing.

How to choose an electric car charger

  • Charging station or cable: an EV charging station controls the charging process. A Type 2 cable connects the car to a compatible wallbox or public charging point.
  • Charging power: 7.4 kW is commonly associated with single-phase installations. Charging at 11 or 22 kW normally requires a three-phase supply and a vehicle whose onboard charger accepts that power.
  • Connector: Type 2 is the most widely used AC charging standard for electric and plug-in hybrid cars sold in Europe. Check both the vehicle inlet and the charging point socket.
  • Installation: for fixed equipment, confirm the available electrical capacity, cable protection, earthing and the requirements of the property before installation.
  • Indoor or outdoor use: check the IP rating, operating temperature, cable length and mounting location.

EV charging solutions up to 22 kW

The Victron EV Charging Station provides adjustable AC charging up to 22 kW on a compatible three-phase installation. The Type 2 cable connects a compatible vehicle to an EV charging station or socketed wallbox. Review voltage, current, number of phases, connector type, cable length and protection rating on the product page.

Electric car charger compatibility

The maximum charging speed is limited by the lowest-rated part of the system: the property supply, protection devices, charging station, cable or the vehicle's onboard charger. A 22 kW station does not guarantee that every car will charge at 22 kW.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a three-phase supply for 22 kW charging?

Yes. Reaching 22 kW with AC charging normally requires a 400 V three-phase installation and a vehicle that accepts 22 kW AC. With a single-phase supply or a lower-rated onboard charger, the available power will be lower.

Will a Type 2 cable work with every electric car?

It will work when both the vehicle and the charging point use a compatible Type 2 connection. You must also check the cable current rating, number of phases and maximum supported power.

Does a Type 2 cable replace a wallbox?

No. The cable provides the physical connection. The wallbox or EV charging station manages the charging process and incorporates the required control and protection functions.

Can I install an EV charging station myself?

A fixed charging station should be assessed and installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the electrical installation, local requirements and the manufacturer's instructions.
