This Type 2 electric car charging cable connects a compatible electric vehicle to a wallbox or public AC charging point with a Type 2 socket. Its 32A three-phase rating supports charging power of up to 22 kW, while the 5-metre length provides practical reach for home, workplace and public charging.

The cable does not determine the charging speed on its own. Actual power is limited by the vehicle's onboard charger, the charging point, the electrical installation and the selected settings.

Compatibility before purchase

Check that both the vehicle and the charging point use a Type 2 AC connection. Also confirm the charging power accepted by the vehicle, because a car limited to 7.4 kW or 11 kW will not charge at 22 kW even when this cable is connected to a 22 kW station.

How to use the charging cable

1. Park the vehicle safely and switch it off.
2. Connect one end to the charging point and the other to the vehicle.
3. Start charging according to the instructions for the vehicle or charging station.
4. When charging has finished, unlock the vehicle and disconnect the cable without pulling on the lead.

Keep the connectors clean and dry and inspect the cable before use. Do not use it if the insulation, connector housing or contacts are damaged.

Will this cable make every car charge at 22 kW?

No. The cable supports up to 22 kW, but the vehicle, charging point and electrical supply must all support that power.

Can I use it with an 11 kW wallbox?

Yes, provided both sides use Type 2. The charging session will operate at the lower power supported by the vehicle or wallbox.

Is this a portable charger?

No. It is a Type 2 connection cable for use with a compatible AC charging point or wallbox; it does not replace the charging station.
