Rayovac
The Rayovac company was created in 1906 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Initially it began manufacturing 15 cm batteries for telephones and flashlights and in 1934 the company took its current name Rayovac, in relation to the first batteries designed for power lamp radios, called Ray-O-Vac ( the brand name will also retain this spelling until 1988).
In 1937, Rayovac developed the first portable hearing aid and approached 100 years of experience in the manufacturing of hearing aid batteries, positioning Rayovac as the world leader in this sector.
In 2005, Rayovac became part of the Varta company, although it currently continues to market its products under the same brand as before the acquisition of the German manufacturer.
