Trojan Battery

The Trojan Battery Company, established in 1925 by George Godber and Carl Speer, has grown to become the world’s leading producer of deep-cycle batteries for applications such as golf, marine, recreational vehicles, mobile elevated work platforms, renewable energy, floor machines and transportation.

With nearly a century of battery manufacturing history, Trojan Battery has helped to build the field of deep-cycle battery technology with a wide range of energy storage options, including AGM, Gel, deep-cycle flooded, and lithium batteries.

Trojan was a pioneer in the development of deep-cycle battery technology for the golf industry with the invention of the golf car battery for the Autoette vehicle in 1952.

With this, Trojan began a heritage of innovation and leadership that continues today in the deep-cycle markets around the world, including those for floor machines, aerial work platforms, recreational vehicles, golf and utility vehicles, renewable energy, and transportation.

With its headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, California, Trojan operates four ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facilities in Georgia and California, two cutting-edge R&D facilities devoted solely to deep-cycle battery technologies, and global offices in Europe and Asia.

Trojan is a proud participant in both the Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium and the Battery Council International (BCI). BCI and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) test standards are strictly followed by Trojan when conducting industry-standard battery testing processes.

C&D Technologies and Trojan are now one organization as a result of their January 2019 merged and acquisition. The transaction brought together two top specialty deep-cycle battery manufacturers with renowned technical dependability, two recognizable brands, and a track record of market dominance for more than 200 years.

Highlights

TQuality is at the core of everything Trojan does, and every battery designed and manufactured is subjected to the most stringent industry testing procedures.

Trojan Battery Company believes in the power of research and development and devotes significant resources to bringing advanced battery technologies to market.

99% of Trojan batteries are recycled. To make new deep-cycle batteries, the container plastic, battery lead, and electrolyte from existing flooded, AGM, and gel batteries can be recycled.
