• The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller implements MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) technology for ultra-fast monitoring of the maximum power point, which optimizes the energy harvest and storage, whether it comes from photovoltaic (solar) or wind sources.
• In overcast conditions where the intensity of sunlight varies constantly or in conditions where there is no wind, MPPT charge controllers compared to PWM (PulseWidth Modulation) charge controllers provide better battery charging performance, optimizing energy harvest by up to 30%.
• Victron Energy's SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers have an intelligent (short-circuit-proof) battery charge output function that disconnects the charge output when it reaches a preset voltage without completely discharging the battery. In this way, the battery is kept in optimal condition, increasing its life-cycle.
• BatteryLife manages the battery intelligently with a charging algorithm that modulates disconnection levels. BateryLife avoids partial charges and discharges that affect the battery´s health and also guarantees almost 100% of battery charge.
• Automatically recognizes battery voltage, using a flexible charging algorithm that protects against over-temperature and reduces power at high temperatures. Cooling is done by natural convection.
• SmartSolar with built-in Bluetooth allows real-time monitoring and control, as well as making changes to the settings via the VictronConnect application, available for smartphones (Android and iOS) and computers (Windows and MacOS).
