A good, powerful battery.

A very good Varta battery – I bought one here, a ‘Varta F16’, and it’s lasted five years and a bit. Since fitting the Varta F18 SLI, my car – a ‘BMW E46 150cv’ – starts up much more easily.... As it has a higher Ah rating and a higher A rating than the previous one.

'Old' battery

According to the website, the batteries are less than three months old, but they were manufactured eight months ago. And the terminals had marks from clamps (not from a clamp). Let’s see how long they last…

Tell him that this new Varta labelling was unveiled at the major trade fairs in the sector across Europe before the summer, and we started receiving it in mid-summer.<br /> <br /> To be honest, I don’t understand where he’s got the idea that it’s 8 months old from. Tell him that in the more than 10 years we’ve been supplying Varta and receiving full lorryloads directly from the factory.

Very well

It arrived the day after I ordered it. I tested it using a machine I had and it came back as being in good working order; I’ve attached a photo. It doesn’t reach a peak of 800A but it’s fairly close; it starts first time, and the date of manufacture shown was February this year – less than eight months ago, so that’s fine.

Good quality at a good price

I found the battery that was fitted to my car on this website; the price is quite competitive and it arrived at my house within 48 hours. I fitted it and off I went. I hope it lasts as long as the last one did (7 years) – provided my car doesn’t have the Stop-Start system.
