The Victron Argodiode 80-2AC 2 batteries 80A is a diode battery isolator that allows 2 batteries of 80A each to be charged at the same time from a single battery charger or alternator without connecting the batteries together. For example, discharging the accessory battery will not result in the starter battery being discharged.

Because the use of the Schottky diodes, the Victron Argo Diode Battery Isolators have a low voltage drop: at low current, the voltage drop is roughly 0.3 V and at rated output, it is estimated to be 0.45 V.

Note that when installing an Argo Diode Battery Isolator, please seek professional assistance. Simply placing the isolator between the alternator and the batteries can reduce charge voltage marginally. As a result of this, batteries may not be fully charged and may age early.
