    Battery technology

    Ni-Cd batteries consist of a nickel anode and a cadmium cathode. Cadmium being a heavy and very toxic metal.

    Their main advantage is the duration (1,500 recharges), but they have the disadvantage that they accumulate little energy and have a "memory effect".

    Substitution by Ni-MH technology is recommended as far as possible, being 100% compatible.
