    Victron GlobalLink 520: remote monitoring over LTE-M

    The GlobalLink 520 (ASS030543020) connects a compatible Victron installation to the VRM portal without a local Wi-Fi connection. Its 1NCE SIM includes five years of prepaid connectivity; renewal or use of your own suitable SIM is possible. Before ordering, check LTE-M (Cat M1) coverage at the installation site: ordinary mobile 4G coverage does not by itself guarantee LTE-M service.

    Connections and monitoring

    • Two VE.Direct ports for compatible Victron devices.
    • Bluetooth connectivity for up to 10 compatible Victron Smart devices and RuuviTag sensors, subject to Victron compatibility and firmware requirements.
    • Two digital inputs and one NO/NC relay for compatible monitoring and control functions.
    • Remote data and alarms through VRM; the normal reporting interval is approximately 15 minutes, so this is not a real-time control system.

    GlobalLink 520 or 530?

    Choose the 520 where LTE-M service is available and appropriate. The GlobalLink 530 uses LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback where supported and is Victron’s recommended choice for most countries. Confirm local coverage and the connected equipment before selecting either model. GlobalLink does not replace a GX communication centre for every advanced GX function.
