Can it be connected in series?
Yes. Connecting identical batteries in series adds their voltage while the Ah capacity remains unchanged. All batteries should be the same model, age and state of charge.

Use a charger designed for flooded lead-acid batteries and for the total voltage of the battery bank. Follow the charging profile specified for the equipment.

2 identical batteries connected in series provide a 24V, 150Ah bank; 4 units provide 48V and 150Ah. Series connection increases voltage while Ah capacity remains unchanged.
