Where this battery fits
The WP1236W combines a nominal capacity of 9Ah with high-rate performance of 36W per cell for 15 minutes. It is designed for compatible UPS systems, emergency power, telecommunications, security equipment and control cabinets that require substantial power during relatively short backup periods.
Compatibility and replacement check
The WP1236W is often compared with the Yuasa NPW36-12 and other 12V high-rate batteries. Verify case size, terminal option, polarity and the required discharge curve before substitution. A conventional 12V 9Ah battery may fit physically but deliver different short-duration power.
Charging and installation
Use a charger intended for sealed lead-acid AGM batteries and keep charge voltage within the manufacturer limits. Provide correctly rated wiring and overcurrent protection, prevent short circuits, secure the battery against movement and never combine batteries of different age, model or state of charge in one bank.
