Smart Battery Sense

Victron MPPT Solar Chargers use the wireless Smart Battery Sense sensor to monitor battery voltage and temperature.

Batteries will be charged more effectively and sustainably with the help of the Smart Battery Sense.

It makes battery charging better. Inaccuracies resulting from voltage-loss due to cable resistance are avoided by measuring voltage at the battery bank terminals, ensuring the proper charge-voltage.

When adjusting the charge voltages for lead batteries, battery temperature data is taken into account. Cold batteries need a higher charge voltage, whereas hot batteries need a lower charge voltage. Temperature information is used to prevent charging of lithium batteries when they are too cold because charging lithium batteries at or below freezing can permanently harm the cells.

Wireless. One or more Solar Charger(s) are connected to Smart Battery Sense wirelessly using VE.Smart Network is the foundation of the wireless technology known as Bluetooth Smart.

One, two, or more solar chargers connected to the same 12V, 24V, and 48V battery bank can transmit information simultaneously. The VictronConnect app is used to configure the Smart Network.

Neat and easy installation. Easy, quick, and orderly installation is available. Simply connect the unit's two eyelets to your battery terminals, then use the self-adhesive strip on the Smart Battery Sense unit to secure it to the battery body.
